Bird WatchingCockscomb Basin Wildlife Reserve - tropical forests and hiking
Venture with our experienced guides to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, the world's first ever jaguar reserve, through strategic hiking trails. Go in search of over 300 species of birds, listen for the cry of the howler monkeys, and trail the elusive jaguar. Marvel at the diversity of flora and fauna indigenous to this tropical rainforest. Stop at Maya Center Village for a peek into the local crafts by the Women's Cooperative, continue on to the 19th century Serpon Sugar Mill, and then after a delightful picnic, cool off and relax in the river or Ben's Bluff waterfall.

Overnight tours are also available. Accommodations are rustic and environmentally conscious: dormitory style rooms, solar powered lighting with basic cooking facilities. Pre-cooked meals are available from Pelican Beach.

Southwater Caye BeachSouth Water Caye Tour - water sports and barrier reef
Spend the day at the cayes. Your journey begins with a boat ride from Dangriga to these miniature isles. En route stop off at Man-O-War Caye, one of the Caribbean's 10 largest nesting sites of the Magnificent Frigate bird. Continue on to South Water Caye, a beautiful 15 acre island resting atop the barrier reef where you can walk along the white sand beach, sway leisurely in a hammock, snorkel, learn about the vast marine ecosystems that exist there. Kayak around the island, visit nearby patch reefs, mangroves, or be amazed by the spectacular drop off! Snorkeling gear is available for rent at South Water Caye.

Dangriga Town Tour - art, history and culture
Discover the art, history and culture of Dangriga. Visit renowned Belizean artist Benjamin Nicholas whose work depicts Garifuna history and lifestyle. Watch Mr. Austin Rodriguez, as he makes local drums, and mortars (used to beat plantains). Learn how the cassava root is processed, and baked into bread and other Garifuna specialties at the Sabal Cassava Farm while sampling some of their products. Stop at the local shops, the local market, Drums of Our Fathers monument, as well as the Fel Nunez Garifuna museum.

Mayan RuinsCahal Pech, Xunantunich, and Blue Hole National Park - natural and archaeological adventures
Travel to Western Belize to the Blue Hole National Park, an inland sink hole for a refreshing swim, then onwards to Cahal Pech ruins where you can view the ancient ceremonial center and dozens of plazas and temples, remnants of a once vibrant and magnificent people. Stop for lunch in the bustling town of San Ignacio, and then take the ferry over to Xunantunich, the highest man-made structure in Belize. Climb the 130 foot El Castillo and enjoy the breathtaking view of Western Belize and even as far as Guatemala cushioned by a lush canopy of the tropical forest.

Birds of BelizeGuanacaste National Park, Belize Zoo, Blue Hole - Belize's flora and fauna
Hike on trails suitable for all levels of expertise through the Guanacaste National Park. View some of the large trees, flora and fauna typically found there. After, get a close up look at some of Belize's large mammals and birds kept in their local habitat at the Belize Zoo. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then onward to the Blue Hole National Park, an inland sink hole for a refreshing swim.

Caracol/Rio On Pool/Rio Frio Cave - archaeological adventures, waterfalls and caving
Upon your arrival to Belize, spend your first two nights in Western Belize. On day 2 visit the most extensive mayan site in the country, Caracol, located on the western edge of the Maya Mountains within the Chiquibul Forest Reserve. The high canopy of the rainforest is home to several species of cats, as well as rare birds such as the keel-billed motmot and the ocellated turkey. Hike through the cavernous formations of the Rio Frio Cave alongside the Rio Frio river. After your hike, enjoy a refreshing swim in the famous Rio On Pools, a series of pools created by large granite boulders, many of which are linked by small waterfalls.
